Dodds Solicitors specialise in family services, criminal defence, conveyancing and wills and probate. We are looking for an experienced solicitor or licensed conveyancer to join our conveyancing department in Leicester city centre.
In this role you will be expected to:
- Manage your own case load from quotation to post-completion
- Manage property transfers between buyers and sellers, conducting title searches, and preparing legal documents related to conveyancing residential transactions and post-completion matters including SDLT and HMLR requisitions
- Deal with more complex transactions, such as shared ownership, leasehold matters, lease extensions, sales and purchases of part, plot sales and purchases and right to buy
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the law and implement changes necessary to comply with the law
The following qualifications and skills will be required:
- Qualified solicitor OR licensed conveyancer with at least three years’ experience in conveyancing practice
- Excellent knowledge of property law and conveyancing procedures, the Conveyancing Protocol and Anti-Money Laundering legislation
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
- The ability to work in a deadline-driven environment unsupervised
- A high level of attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and conveyancing case management software (knowledge of DPS is advantageous)
- A commitment to providing exceptional client service
- Experience in managing a team of conveyancers is a plus
- Panel membership and CQS accreditation preferred
