Yesterday, a team of eight of us and two dogs took part in the LOROS Full Steam Ahead event. We walked 5 miles from Great Central Railway Quorn Station to Rothley Station where we caught a train back to Quorn where we were treated to a hog roast. I’m sure I speak on behalf of all of us when I say that the hog roast was absolutely delicious and didn’t last long in our hands.

Although it was only(!) 5 miles, it was through very muddy fields and so was tough going at times. Through one field, we came away with what appear to be half of the field caked on our feet. There was a couple of times when one or more of us almost ended up with muddy bottoms! What kept us going though was knowing that we were raising money for a fantastic and important charity.

Many of us have had some interaction with LOROS over the years, whether it’s for members of our family requiring their care or from a business point of view. So we know the good work LOROS does and we are proud to associate ourselves with them.

Below are some photos of our day. As you will see, we had a fantastic time and look forward to next year’s walk.
